Want

Sometimes the first thing that comes into my head when I wake up is something I don't want to do. And then, because apparently this negatively framed thought process works so well for me, I just keep going:

  • I don't want to read a novel written by a woman who moved to Brooklyn after she graduated from college in 2023.
  • I don't want to read a novel written by a man born after 1950.
  • I don't want to learn anything else about Timothee Chalamet.
  • I don't want to look at the New York Times.
  • I don't want to check notifications.
  • I don't want to wash my face.
  • I don't want to take my pills.
  • I don't want to boil water for coffee.

Obviously I'm going to do all these things because I must.
